Tom Petty has produced the new album by former Byrds bassist Chris Hillman.
Bidin' My Time features contributions from Hillman's Byrds bandmates David Crosbyand Roger McGuinn, and Petty secured the services of three of his Heartbreakers -- guitarist Mike Campbell, keyboardist Benmont Tench, and drummer Steve Ferrone.
Petty is no stranger to Hillman or The Byrds, who were a major influence. He also appeared on Roger McGuinn's 1991 album Back From Rio.
The album will be released on September 22nd. Hillman will start a tour in support of it the day before, September 21st, in Sellersville, Pennsylvania.
