ROLLING STONES: Retro Collection on the Way

A book documenting the rise of The Rolling Stones in the '60s through TV and radio will be published on September 26th.

Rolling Stones - On Air compiles all their appearances, from their first TV gig, Thank Your Lucky Stars, through their free televised concert in London's Hyde Park in 1969.

The book was written by Richard Havers, who has penned several books on the Stones and worked with former bassist Bill Wyman on Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey. Coinciding with the book's publication will be an album and BBC documentary. It will contain a companion DVD featuring some of the performances, many of which have never been seen before.

In other Stones news, there are reports that they continue to work on the album they started before switching gears to last year's collection of blues covers, Blue and Lonesome, as well as another live album.
