BEATLES: Yellow Submarine To Become a Comic Book

The Beatles have a deal for a comic book adaptation of Yellow Submarine to coincide with the animated classic's upcoming 50th anniversary.

Bill Morrison, the incoming editor of MAD magazine, will write and illustrate the special edition.

Apple Corps is partnering with Titan Comics on the project. There will also be a line of vinyl collectibles based on the film's characters. Replica versions of the band, as well as Blue Meanies, the Apple Bonker and the Four-Headed Bulldog will go on sale this summer. (Hollywood Reporter)

  • It'd be cool if a digitially restored version of the film hit theaters during 2018.
  • The pop art cartoon Yellow Submarine was released in July 1968.
