GUNS N' ROSES: Tops Among Firsts

England's Classic Rock magazine asked its readers to name their favorite debut album and compiled a Top 100 from the results. Guns n' Roses' Appetite for Destruction came in at number-one.

  6. Black Sabbath
  7. King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King

  9. Big Country – The Crossing
  10. Iron Maiden

Artists further down the list include Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Meat Loaf, Rush, Metallica, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Bad Company, The Cars, Queen, Cheap Trick, KISS, CSNY, Steely Dan, The Rolling Stones, U2 and The Who.

Artists whose first albums did not make the Top 100 include CSN, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Cream, The Byrds, Yes and the Eagles.
