On February 8th, 2006, Joe Perry, Slash, Journey's Neal Schon, Toto's Steve Lukather and many others came together in Hollywood to honor the legendary Les Paul.
The cameras were rolling, and tomorrow (Friday) A Tribute to Les Paul: Live From Universal Studios Hollywood will be released on DVD.
Also taking part that night were Edgar Winter, Buddy Guy, Joe Satriani and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. In addition to the performances, the DVD includes commentary from several of Paul's final interviews recorded at New York's Iridium Jazz Club, where he performed every Monday night, and at his home in New Jersey.
The show was staged to raise funds and awareness for the Los Angeles charity A Place Called Home, designed to give at-risk kids a safe and secure environment they can thrive in.
