Pat Benatar has a new song out -- her second this year.
“Dancing Through the Wreckage,” written by Linda Perry, Pat and her husband Neil Giraldo, is featured in the new documentary Served Like a Girl. The film is about female military vets competing in the Ms. Veteran America contest to raise awareness for the plight of the 55,000 homeless female veterans in America.
All proceeds from the soundtrack and “Dancing Through the Wreckage” go directly to Final Salute, a charity that creates infrastructure and support for female veterans.
Earlier this year, the three collaborated on the song “Shine” for the Women’s March.
Benatar is on tour with Toto opening. Next up is New York City's Beacon Theater Thursday night.
