MOODY BLUES: Days of Future PBS Performances

The Moody Blues are headed to PBS as Days of Future Passed Live will premiere on Great Performances on November 25th.

Captured this past summer at the Sony Center in Toronto, it features the band performing their landmark 1967 album in its entirety backed by an orchestra.

In addition to that album's iconic songs, such as "Nights in White Satin" and "The Afternoon: Forever Afternoon (Tuesday)," the band runs through such classics as "I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)," "Your Wildest Dreams," "The Story in Your Eyes," "Question" and "Ride My See-Saw."

Following its PBS premiere, Days of Future Passed Live will be released on DVD with a date to be announced soon.

This Friday the Moodies will release the 50th anniversary Deluxe Edition of Days of Future Passed. It features the 1972 stereo remix along with a restored version from the original master tapes. The bonuses include nine BBC Radio session performances, as well as a DVD in 5.1 surround sound, plus previously unreleased 1968 video footage of three key tracks, done just eight weeks after the album’s release. The set also includes a poster designed by former founding member Ray Thomas.
