WWE star Kane is now going by a new name -- Mayor.
The six-foot-eight, 300-pound wrestler, whose real name is Glenn Jacobs, is the new mayor of Knox County, Tennessee after he defeated Democrat Linda Haney by only 23 votes. The 51-year-old told his supporters last night, "This professional wrestler got into a no-holds-barred, last-man-standing match, and when the bell rung, he was victorious. We were victorious."
In Knox County, Tennessee, the title of Mayor really refers to the county administrator. The city of Knoxville has its own mayor. Jacobs ran on a platform calling for tax cuts and improvements to education and infrastructure.
