Classic Rock Nuggets: B. Gibbons, Knopfler, Frampton and more

Peter Frampton has posted another of his special guest videos to plug his farewell tour. This time it’s pop star Kesha, who asks him for tickets for her and her cat. Previous video guests include Joe Walsh and Tim McGraw.

Stevie Nicks, Patti Smith, Bonnie Raitt, Dolly Parton and James Taylor are among many artists who’ve donated instruments, signed memorabilia and other items as part of the Girls Rock Reverb Gives auction. The week-long auction starts on May 21st at Reverb.com. Proceeds will benefit 10 non-profits focused on empowering female, transgender and gender non-conforming youth through music.

The first leg of the KISS End of the Road tour has grossed $58.7 million from 518,395 tickets sold over 43 shows.

ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons plays on six songs on Road Chronicles, the live album from the Supersonic Blues Machine, featuring drummer Kenny Aronoff. It's out July 12th.

Mark Knopfler has added a final show to his Down the Road Wherever tour, September 25th at New York’s Madison Square Garden with special guest Bonnie Raitt. Knopfler, who’s in Berlin, Germany Wednesday night, starts his U.S. tour on August 16th in Connecticut.

The second leg of David Crosby's Sky Trails tourbegins August 15th in Roanoke, Virginia and ends with his previously announced September 17th show at Red Rocks Amphitheater outside Denver with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Tickets for most of the shows go on sale Friday. Crosby performs in St. Louis Wednesday night.

The Who have added a third show at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. on October 24th.
