AZALEA TRAIL RUN - Sat 6am, downtown Mobile

The Azalea Trail Run is the premier running/walking event produced by the Port City Pacers. It is one of the premier 10K road races in the United States and the 2011 RRCA National 10K Championship. The event also includes 5K and 2K runs, and a Health & Fitness Expo at the Civic Center (Friday 12 noon-9pm).  CLICK HERE   


THE WHARF BOAT & YACHT SHOW-  Thurs-Sun, The Wharf in Orange Beach

FESTIVAL OF FLOWERSThurs/Fri/Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 11am-5pm, Providence Hospital, west Mobile

Mobile’s most “sentsational” experience celebrates its 24th year with its most impressive array of blooming beauty.  The Festival of Flowers is a true horticultural extravaganza offering splendid floral exhibits, life-size landscaped garden vignettes, informative seminars, dramatic tablescape designs, and more.  CLICK HERE  


ELBERTA GERMAN SAUSAGE FESTIVAL - Sat 8am -5pm, Town Park, Elberta, AL

The Elberta German Sausage Festival is a bi-annual fundraiser that benefits the Elberta Volunteer Fire Department. The fire department sells nearly 7,000 pounds of sausage, plus there will be arts & crafts, childrens activities and music.  Admission is free.  Rain or shine.  CLICK HERE

WHITE TIE ROCK ENSEMBLE: AN EVENING OF BRITISH ROCKSat 8pm, Pensacola Saenger Theatre

SOUTH ALABAMA JAGUAR BASEBALL- Fri/Sat 6:30pm, Sun 1pm, Stanky Field

FLORA-BAMA’S BEACH RUN/WALK FOR AMERICA’S WARRIORS- Sat 7:30am-11am, Flora-Bama Lounge, Perdido Key

The start and end point is on the beach at Flora-Bama. All 5K runners will be headed into Alabama and all 1/2 marathon runners will be headed into Florida. 100% of the registration fees will go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.  CLICK HERE 


DRUGS: COST & CONSEQUENCES- Opening Fri Feb 3rd, Gulf Coast Exploreum, downtown Mobile

In this interactive exploration of the effects of drugs on both individuals and society, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the history and the current science behind drug law enforcement, drug prevention, drug addiction, and drug treatment specific to Alabama’s local communities, as well as the U.S.  CLICK HERE
