Pink Floyd is ringing The Division Bell again yesterday (Tuesday) -- it's being re-released in a 20th anniversary box set. It contains six discs, including three replica colored or clear vinyl discs, five collectors' prints, a Blu-ray disc and for the first time, a 5.1 audio mix of the album.
David Gilmour says when he, Nick Mason and Rick Wright went into the studio to record what became The Division Bell, the goal was not to make an album. "We thought it would be good to get to know each other again because we hadn't seen each other for a long time... We did that for two weeks at the end of which I think we had 65 little bits of music."
Among the songs on The Division Bell are "Take it Back," "What Do You Want From Me" and "Marooned." It turned out to be Floyd's last studio album.
