Mojo magazine has compiled a list of the Top 10 most controversial rock band replacements, and Sammy Hagar's taking over for David Lee Roth in Van Halen is number-one. Here's the Top 10, along with five honorable mentions:

Van Halen - Sammy Hagar for David Lee Roth

Guns n' Roses - Everybody but Axl Rose for somebody else

Black Sabbath - Ronnie James Dio for Ozzy Osbourne

Metallica - multiple - Kirk Hammett for Dave Mustaine; Jason Newsted for the late Cliff Burton; and Robert Trujillo for Newsted

Journey - Arnel Pineda for Steve Perry (Pineda actually replaced Jeff Scott Soto.)

Judas Priest - Tim "Ripper" Owens for Rob Halford

Iron Maiden - Blaze Bayley for Bruce Dickinson

The Doors - Ian Astbury for Jim Morrison when Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek toured as The Doors of the 21st Century in 2002
