CSN: Reflecting on Milestone Anniversary

Last Wednesday, May 28th, marked the 50th anniversary of the release of the self-titled debut album from Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Graham Nash tells us, "I'm proud to have been a part in this album. I confess that it has been my favorite album of ours. Fine songs and fine musicianship. A time of sunshine, and creation [that is] never to be forgotten."

Among the songs on the album are "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," "Marrakesh Express," "Guinnevere," "Pre-Road Downs," "Wooden Ships," "Helplessly Hoping" and "Long Time Gone."

Breaking down the album's 10 songs,David Crosby wrote two,Stephen Stills four and Nash three, with Crosby and Stills co-writing "Wooden Ships" with Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane

In all, CSN released five studio albums and three with Neil Young. Sadly, Nash and Young are no longer on speaking terms with Crosby.
