John Fogerty will not be part of Woodstock 50 if it goes ahead August 16th, 17th and 18th in Columbia, Maryland.
Fogerty, whose Creedence Clearwater Revival played the original festival in 1969, joined producer Michael Lang in New York City for the press conference announcing the lineup in March. He was scheduled to perform on opening night when the event was to take place in Watkins Glen, New York.
Fogerty will still play on Sunday, August 18th, at the Bethel Center for the Arts, which sits on the original site of the 1969 festival in Bethel, New York. That show is not affiliated withWoodstock 50.
Other artists originally scheduled to perform at Woodstock 50 include Robert Plant,Santana,David Crosby,The Killers,Jay-Z,Imagine Dragons and Dead & Company. They have yet to announce their intentions regarding the Maryland date.
