Stevie Ray Vaughan's life story is told in a new book,Texas Flood: The Inside Story of Stevie Ray Ray Vaughan.
Authors Alan Paul and Andy Aledort spoke to those closest to Stevie, including his brother Jimmie and his Double Trouble bandmates Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon. Aledort also interviewed Stevie four times before his sudden death in a helicopter crash in 1990.
One close person to Stevie they did not speak to was his ex-wife, Lenora “Lenny” Bailey Vaughan. They were married from 1979 to 1988, and she died last year.
