TED NUGENT: Behind the White House Tour

Ted Nugent describes the four hours he spent Wednesday at The White House with President Trump, Kid Rock and Sarah Palin as a "family reunion."

In an interview with The New York Times, the outspoken guitarist says, "[Trump] gave us a wonderful personal tour of every room and talked about the origins of every carpet and every painting — there was a Monet — and then we had dinner... None of us expected this. He showed us the bed in the Lincoln Bedroom and explained how that was where the president’s son died. He knew the designer of the chairs. He showed us the bulletproof glass.”

Nuge says they had a wide-ranging conversation about "health, fitness, food, rock and roll, Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley, secure borders, the history of the United States, guns, bullets, bows and arrows, North Korea, Russia” and more.

It was Palin who was invited; she brought along the two Michigan musicians, both of whom lent their support to Trump during his campaign. Asked why she invited them, Palin joked, "Because Jesus was booked."
