Rumors of Gregg Allman being in hospice prompted him to issue a statement:
He says, “Hey everyone. I just wanted y’all to know that I’m currently home in Savannah resting on my doctor’s orders. I want to thank you for all the love that you are sending. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Keep Rockin’."
Back in March, Allman announced that he'd put his 2017 tour on hold, but offered up no explanation.
Today's statement can be interpreted in numerous ways. With all his medical ailments -- liver transplant, hepatitis, pneumonia -- his doctors may have simply insisted that he rest. But hospice care -- keeping a terminal patient as comfortable as possible in the last weeks or months of life -- can be also be done at home.
A source close to Allman insists to us that he's not in hospice.
