A small dolphin in the Gulf of Mexico is lucky to be alive after a boater and fisherman saw the animal beached and decided to help.
Charlie Carreon was visiting Corpus Christi with his family and decided to take a fishing trip.
When the boat approached a lighthouse, they heard sounds of an animal crying. It was a dolphin who lost its way.
Charlie jumped out of the boat and lifted the dolphin into deeper waters, where it was able to swim away.
Charlie said he felt like he had to save the dolphin "no matter what" and that seeing the animal swim off is a moment he will remember forever. (KRIS-TV)
