Vince Gill performed his first show with the Eagles on Saturday at The Classic West in L.A. and will play his second -- and possibly last -- on July 29th at The Classic Eastin New York.
Today (Monday) he revealed his five favorite songs by the band in Rolling Stone, in no particular order:
- "Desperado"
- "Peaceful Easy Feeling"
- "I Can't Tell You Why"
- "Rocky Mountain Way" (technically, not an Eagles song, but Joe Walsh has played it live with them since he joined)
- "Ol' 55"
Interestingly, none of the five are songs Gill sang lead on with the band at The Classic West, though he says he "may put a note in the hopper" asking if he can sing "Ol' 55."
- Gill sang lead on four songs at The Classic West: "Take It to the Limit," "Tequila Sunrise," "Lyin' Eyes" and "New Kid in Town."
