50 Years of Fleetwood Mac

Billed as Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, the Chicago-styyled blues band was fronted by guitarist and singer Peter Green, with Mick Fleetwoodon drums, Jeremy Spencer on guitar and Bob Brunning on bass. John McVie had agreed to join, but performed that day instead with the band he was in the process of leaving, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.

The Mac played six songs, three of them by American bluesman Elmore James.

Also on the bill that weekend were The Small Faces, Pink Floyd, Donovan, Jeff Beck, Al Stewart, Cream and Chicken Shack. Eric Clapton of Cream later married Mick Fleetwood's sister-in-law. And Christine Perfect of Chicken Shack later married John McVie and joined his band.

Fleetwood Mac's set list from August 13th, 1967:

  1. Talk to Me Baby
  2. I'm Goin' Home
  3. I Need You, Come on Home to Me
  4. Fine Little Mama
  5. The World Keep on Turning
  6. Shake Your Moneymaker
