If you haven't got a ticket for this weekend's Lockn' Festival in Arrington, Virginia, you can watch it from wherever you are.
Relix.com will live-stream pretty much all of the three-day event, starting today (Friday) at 7 p.m. [ET] and then from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. [ET] on Saturday and Sunday. Among the expected highlights are Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band's celebration of The Grateful Dead's Terrapin Station album, with special guest Bob Weir, a second guest shot by Weir with The Avett Brothers, and sets by Jim James, Brandi Carlile, John Fogerty and Widespread Panic.
Arrington is about 45 minutes from Charlottesville, the city where violence erupted at a white supremacist rally this month. Relix.com is asking viewers to donate to the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, to support local reconciliation and healing efforts. You can get more info on it on the site.
- The charity element to the live-stream is a great way to encourage people to help the local community.
