The album from the documentary Clive Davis - The Soundtrack of Our Lives goes on sale next week.
There are two different digital releases. Apple Music will have a 34-track edition as an exclusive starting September 27th. Two days later, a 20-track version will be available elsewhere.
Both sets will include hits from Davis's decades as head of the Columbia, Arista and RCA labels. Among the highlights:
- Big Brother and the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) - "Piece of My Heart"
- Eric Carmen - "All by Myself"
- Chicago - "25 or 6 to 4"
- Earth, Wind and Fire - "September"
- Aretha Franklin - "Freeway of Love"

- Melissa Manchester - "Don't Cry Out Loud"
- Santana (with Rob Thomas) - "Smooth"
