Gregg Allman will take center stage this Saturday at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia during the halftime show of the SEC football game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks.
The school is recognizing Gregg's legacy in music and his generosity to the University’s Hugh Hodgson School of Music. In 2015, The Gregg Allman Scholarship Fund was established and is awarded to students seeking a career in the music industry.
In addition to the music, this year's scholarship recipients will be recognized.
The game starts at 3:30 p.m. ET and will air nationally on CBS.
Allman died from cancer on May 27th at his home in Savannah, Georgia. He was 69.
