Vette with 733,000 Miles Donated to Museum (watch)

While many owners of sports cars don’t drive them every day – and instead just roll them out for special occasions and cruises on weekends – Mark Blackwell is unusual because he used his 1999 Corvette for a long commute each day to work.

After driving back and forth from his home in Florida to his job in Georgia for years, he managed to put 733,000 miles on his reliable red car. That’s the equivalent of 277 road trips from New York to Los Angeles.

Well, Mark is now retiring his amazing car – and donating it to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

While it's not in mint condition, the car is in remarkably good shape and still runs, which says a lot about just how well Mark took care of it through the years. (Jalopnik)
