Steve Winwood says the time was right for him to release a live album.
The voice of classics such as "Higher Love," "Empty Pages" and "Gimme Some Lovin'" tells us, "I really do enjoy playing live," and he uses his shows to "re-invent many of these songs [to] give them a slightly different treatment."
The result is Winwood: Greatest Hits Live, which draws from his work with The Spencer Davis Group, Blind Faith and Traffic, and then several decades of solo success.
