The long-awaited release of Songs of Experience on Friday was followed by a weekend of U2 promoting it on both traditional and new media. This included:
- Bono sitting for a five-minute interview on Friday with the NFL Network's Kyle Brandt, during which he revealed that Tom Brady is his favorite quarterback. He also talked about U2's halftime performance at Super Bowl 36 and plugged the new album.
- A three-song acoustic set by Bono and The Edge Friday night at a benefit for the Museum of Natural History, featuring "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "Get Out of Your Own Way" and "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of."
