"Blessing Fence" Is Warming Hearts & People

Blessing fence

An Indiana family is a real blessing to the people in the town of Goshen -- where no one will have to be cold this winter.

Lynda Salisbury and her family have set up a "blessing fence" in their front yard where people are invited to donate all types of winter attire for their neighbors in need.

The fence is consistently seen with coats, hats, scarves and boots hanging from it. Anyone who needs something warm is invited to take whatever they want.

Lynda, who says this is the third year her family has set up the "blessing fence," says, "I was on Facebook and saw a city that was hanging scarves on the trees in their park for homeless people. I thought, ‘Well I wonder if we could do this in our neighborhood because we live in an economically diverse area of town.'" She added, "It’s anonymous giving for anonymous receivers."
