JOE PERRY: Debuts a Cheap Track

Joe Perry has offered up a preview of his new album, Sweetzerland Manifesto, by streaming the song he wrote with Cheap Trick singer Robin Zander, "Aye, Aye, Aye."

Perry tells Rolling Stone, "Being friends and fans of each other for 40 years, Robin and I had always talked about writing together. I was in L.A. working on my newest solo record and Robin was in town with Cheap Trick and called me with an idea for a song. He sang the chorus over the phone ,which was all he had at the time. I dug it and said, 'Hell yeah, come on up'... Robin came up and six hours later 'Aye, Aye, Aye' was born... In fact, we were able to track it live that night."

The album, which will be out on January 19th, also features David Johansen, Terry Reid, Zak Starkey and Perry's Hollywood Vampires bandmate Johnny Depp, who served as the album's executive producer.

Sweetzerland Manifesto is Perry's sixth solo album and first since 2009's Have Guitar, Will Travel.
