SPINAL TAP: Frampton, Fagen Guest on Smalls Album

Derek Smalls of Spinal Tap -- a.k.a. singer-actor Harry Shearer -- is finally stepping out on his own.

The solo album Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing) comes out April 13th, and Smalls will play a series of dates with orchestras called Lukewarm Water Live: An Adventure in Loud Music. The first concert is April 14th with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans.

Small is joined on the album by a roster of all-star guests -- Jeff "Skunk" Baxter of Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers, David Crosby, Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, Peter Frampton, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Steve Lukather of Toto, Joe Satriani, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Richard Thompson and Rick Wakeman of Yes.
