Roxy Music, the album which introduced the influential British art-rock group to the world in 1972, has just been reissued in an expanded two-CD set and a three-CD plus-DVD-and-book boxed set.
The group's vocalist and leader Bryan Ferry got on the phone to talk about it.
- Hello, Bryan. How are you?
- Can you tell us how Roxy Music came together in the early 1970s?
- Tell us about your early days.
- The reissue adds studio outtakes. What do think about that?
- Can you tell us more about early studio approach?
- How much did you direct your bandmates to get what you wanted on the first album?
- Did you feel a part of the glam scene in England in 1972?
- How do you feel about Roxy Music not being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
- I understand there's an unfinished and unreleased Roxy Music album.
- On the song "Re-Make/Re-Model," there's a chant that goes "CPL593H." What does that mean?
- You still tour a lot as a solo artist. Do you have plans to visit America again?
- Bryan, thanks very much for your time.
