CHICAGO: Six Decades of Live Music

Chicago live

Chicago reached into their archive for the band's next release.

Chicago VI (six) Decades Live draws from performances spanning 1969 through 2014. A highlight is their entire performance at 1970's Isle of Wight Festival. Taped by for a German TV network, that set is included on DVD, along with "What's This World Comin' To" from the band's 1973 ABC-TV special and a 1977 appearance on the German music television show Rockpalast.

Chronologically, the set begins in Paris with 1969 performances of "Poem for the People," "25 or 6 to 4" and "Liberation." Among the other deep tracks are "In the Mood" and "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" from Chicago's 1994 big band tour.

The extensive box enables you to tag along with Chicago to famous venues such as the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City and their hometown's since-replaced arena, Chicago Stadium.

It's due out on April 6th.

On Disc 4: "Medley: In The Midnight Hour/Knock On Wood/I'm A Man/Get Away" (Pensacola Civic Center, Pensacola, FL, 3/21/87)
