The new book from Eric Clapton, that we first reported on last July, now has a new title and a publication date ... well almost.
Sunshine of Your Love is Slowhand's official, hand-crafted, signed limited-edition book documenting his Crossroads Guitar Festival between 1999 and 2013.
Set for release in May from England's Genesis Publications, it features many of his guest musicians at the shows talking about their experience of there, their musical influences and their appreciation of each other's music.
Among those who participated in the writing of the book are B.B. King, Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy, John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr.
There are then the photos, more than 350, each handpicked by Clapton. These include snaps of Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, Jimmie Vaughan, Willie Nelson, James Taylor, Joe Walsh and many others.
Handcrafted in Milan, Italy, the 1,650 collector copies (numbered 351 to 2,000) are quarter bound in leather with foil blocking and silver page edging. Each book is individually signed by at least three Crossroads musicians, including Clapton, Vince Gill, Neal Schon, Robbie Robertson and Carlos Santana. It also includes an exclusive seven-inch vinyl picture disc of two Crossroads performances by Clapton -- "Wonderful Tonight" and "Got to Get Better in a Little While."
Priced at $490, proceeds benefit Clapton's Crossroads Centre, his rehab facility on Antigua.
