SAMMY HAGAR: He Didn't Get Seasick

Sammy Hagar is getting his legs back under him after spending four days at sea as the headliner on this year's Rock Legends Cruise 6, which left Fort Lauderdale, Florida last Thursday and returned yesterday (Monday).

Walking off the ship's stage Sunday afternoon following a performance with his band, The Circle, Hagar gave a thumbs-up to his first cruise.

Hagar, who admits that he is susceptible to seasickness, tells us he did his homework before agreeing to set sail:

In addition to his electric shows with The Circle, Hagar joined Bad Company Friday for "Rock and Roll Fantasy." On Saturday, Hagar did an acoustic set, which his fans, the Redheads, raved about.

He was joined in the acoustic set by his wife and sons, Circle guitarist Vic Johnson and the other members of The Circle -- Jason Bonham and Michael Anthony -- who came out at the end, along with Paul Rodgers, for "Little White Lies." The acoustic set included The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" and a new song, "Father Time."

During the cruise, Hagar interviewed Rodgers for an episode of his AXS TV show, Rock and Roll Road Trip.

Other performers on the cruise included Blue Oyster Cult, Todd Rundgren, John Kay & Steppenwolf, Triumph leader Rik Emmett, Elvin Bishop and the Artimus Pyle Band.
