ALLMANS: Former Brother Remembers a Fallen Brother

D. Betts

When Dickey Betts does his first shows in four years in May and July, look for him to break out songs from his former band.

According to a post on his website, "Dickey has said he wants to cover a lot of the Allman Brothers songbook ... as well as paying tribute to Gregg Allman. There will be some great surprises in the show!"

Only a few dates have been announced, and it's not likely there will be any dates west of the Mississippi River."

Betts' opening act will be The Devon Allman Project, featuring his son Duane, who also played in his dad's band.

The dates announced so far are:

  • May 17 - Macon, GA - Macon City Auditorium
  • May 19 - Boca Raton, FL - Sunset Cove
  • July 22 - Scranton, PA - Peachfest
