SLASH: So Much for a GNR Album

AC/DC Rock Or Bust Tour - New York, NY

It looks like the Guns n' Roses reunion won't produce a new album. Slash has started work on a third album with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, and it's due out this fall.

The news comes the day after rumors spread that Angus Young has been working on songs for an AC/DC album with Axl Rose. And after GNR finishes its European tour on July 21st, Slash will return to the road with Kennedy and the Conspirators for a North American trek.

Slash says, "I'm excited about the new stuff we put together for this next record; it's got some cool songs and it's got a great live feel.” As for the remaining GNR dates, he adds, "I’m looking over and seeing Axl, Duff [McKagan] and Dizzy [Reed], whom I’ve known forever, but it also feels like an entirely new experience with Richard [Fortus], Frank[Ferrer] and Melissa [Reese]."

The timing of the album and tour works out well for Kennedy. Alter Bridge are on a break this year as Kennedy has a spring tour lined up for his solo album Year of the Tigerand Mark Tremonti has a new album with his project Tremonti due out this year.
