If a large snake were to crawl into your living room and eat one of your slippers, you'd probably just cut your losses, forget about the slipper and move on, right?
A snake catcher was called to a home in Queensland, Australia to remove a python which had somehow wandered in. Looking at the snake's body, it was clear it had eaten something large while inside so he took the serpent to the vet. An X-ray revealed what the snake catcher had suspected -- one of the homeowner's slippers was inside its body. The vet decided there was no way to get the slipper out by pushing it back up out of the mouth, so he performed surgery to cut it out. The procedure was a success. The homeowner has his slipper back and the snake is recovering. (The Courier-Mail)
