When the remnants of Led Zeppelin got together in 2007 for a one-off performance in London with Jason Bonham on drums in place of his late father John, Jason quit Foreigner because Jimmy Page was hoping that Robert Plant would change his mind about doing more than just the one show.

Not long after that, Page, Bonham and John Paul Jones gathered in a studio and started tossing around ideas, hoping Plant would join them.
