Bad Company is down to the last two shows as the special guest on Lynyrd Skynyrd's Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour, tonight (Friday) in Mountain View, California and Saturday in San Bernardino, California.
Bad Company is also down to only two original members -- singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke. Guitarist Mick Ralphs had a stroke in 2016 and it's unlikely he'll recover enough to ever play again. Bassist Boz Burrell died of a heart attack in 2006.
We asked Simon if it's really Bad Company given the current lineup, and he said that was something he wrestled with, but ultimately came to grips with.
Simon Kirke on if Bad Company is still Bad Company with only two of the four original members:
Following these last two shows, Rodgers and his solo band will hook up with Jeff Beck and Ann Wilson on the Stars Align tour starting July 18th in West Valley City, Utah. Kirke hopes to play some solo shows over the summer.
