John Fogerty and ZZ Top's Blues & Bayous tour got under way Friday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Fogerty opened the co-headlining bill with a 24-song set, 12 more than ZZ, but that's because many of Fogerty's Creedence Clearwater Revival songs are short.
Fogerty also did some solo hits, as well as covers of Brad Paisley's "Love and War," Hank Williams's "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)," Rockin' Sidney's "My Toot Toot" and Gary U.S. Bonds's "New Orleans."
ZZ's Billy Gibbons joined Fogerty halfway through his set for the live debut of "Holy Grail," the new song they recorded, which will be released on June 8th.
Gibbons and ZZ then did their usual array of hits along with covers of Sam and Dave's "I Thank You" and Merle Travis's "Sixteen Tons."
The tour, which moves to Vienna, Virginia on Tuesday and Wednesday, runs through June 29th in Welch, Minnesota.
