While a handful of companies are working on breaking speed records with their electric cars, some engineers at Jaguar have been designing a fast electric boat. And, it seems they've broken an electric water speed record with a 295-horsepower engine that reached a top speed of nearly 89 miles per hour.
Their V20E boat features a pair of electric motors powered by over 700 pounds of batteries.
And, this is just the beginning. It's back to the drawing board so they can get this electric boat cranking even faster. (Top Gear)
