Following last month's installation in Redditch, Worcestershire, England of a John Bonham memorial, comes the announcement that the small town will host a festival in his honor.
John Bonham: A Celebration will be held on September 22nd and will feature a line-up of rock and blues musicians, along with special guests, all with a connection to Bonham and his family. One act announced so far is the Led Zeppelin tribute band, Letz Zep.
The full line-up will soon be revealed on Twitter -- @JBonhamMF -- and Facebook -- John Bonham Memorial Redditch.
A spokesman for the event says, "This memorable event will host a mix of well-known stars and upcoming musicians, all donating their time to remember John Bonham and to raise vital funds for Teenage Cancer Trust and their outreach nurse program across the West Midlands."
Bonham died on September 25th, 1980 of pulmonary edema, an accumulation of fluid in the lungs. He was 32.
