A jaguar escaped its habitat at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans over the weekend and killed eight other animals before workers finally sedated him.
The three-year-old predator somehow got out before the zoo had opened to the public and was loose for about an hour. During that time, he killed five alpaca, an emu and two foxes. A few other animals were injured. The jaguar was eventually captured and sedated
Zoo officials believe the roof to the jaguar's enclosure was left open. (CBS News)
