Stones Sympathy

Another Rolling Stones-related archival release is on the way.

On October 5th, in celebration of its 50th anniversary, ABKCO Films will release a restored version of director Jean-Luc Godard's Sympathy for the Devil on DVD and Blu-ray and through digital services.

The film alternates between reflections on contemporary politics and social issues of the late '60s, along with insight into the Stones' recording the song of the same name in London in June 1968.

Special screenings will be held in New York and Los Angeles. It will be shown at the American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles on September 7th, followed by a week-long run at New York’s Museum of Modern Artfrom September 13th through the 19th.

In other Stones-family news, former bassist Bill Wyman has launched his official Spotify page, complete with songs and information.
