George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" can be considered the most successful single released by Apple Records.

As the label The Beatles launched marks its 50th anniversary August 30th, a just-released report ranks its most played songs since the beginning of the 21st century.

Harrison's signature song from his solo debut, All Things Must Pass, has received the most plays. And a solo single by another of The Beatles ranks number-two. John Lennon's "Imagine" is followed by the Beatles tracks "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be."

Here's the entire Top 10:

  1. "My Sweet Lord" - George Harrison
  2. "Imagine" - John Lennon
  3. "Hey Jude" - The Beatles
  4. "Let It Be" - The Beatles
  5. "Band on the Run" - Paul McCartney and Wings
  6. "Get Back" - The Beatles
  7. "Here Comes The Sun" - The Beatles
  8. "Something" - The Beatles
  9. "Live and Let Die" - Paul McCartney and Wings
  10. "Jet" - Paul McCartney and Wings

Procol Harum singer-keyboardist Gary Brooker recalls the recording session for George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord,” on which he played piano:
