LYNYRD SKYNYRD: Not Exactly Goodbye

L. Skynyrd

Lynyrd Skynyrd may be on what they call their "farewell tour," but we haven't seen the last of these good ol' Southern boys.

Gary Rossington says Lynyrd Skynyrd's farewell tour does not exactly mark the end of the band:

"[This is] the last time we're touring, you know, touring touring. But we're gonna play some more and do some CDs like The Beatles did a few albums after they quit touring, and special events. We like to do events for the soldiers and charities and stuff."

Skynyrd continue their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour Saturday in Wichita, Kansas.

  • Other farewell tours out there or soon to start up include Elton, Joan Baez, KISS and Ozzy Osbourne.
