Three previously unreleased versions of George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" are out today. The bonus tracks from the 50th anniversary edition of The Beatles' White Album can be streamed or downloaded.
The "Acoustic Version, Take 2" was recorded on July 25th, 1968, with just George on guitar and Paul McCartney on harmonium. In it, George sings original lines that did not make the final version -- “I look from the wings at the play you are staging / As I’m sitting here doing nothing but aging.”
