he third and final album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, 1968's Electric Ladyland, is reissued today (Friday) as a 50th anniversary box set.

Electric Ladyland: Deluxe Edition is available as a three-CD, one-Blu-ray set, or a six-LP, one-Blu-ray set. It includes the remastered original double album, a disc of demos and early takes, a previously unreleased show from the Hollywood Bowl on September 14th, 1968, and a documentary about the album called At Last… The Beginning: The Making of Electric Ladyland.

The album also marked a turning point for Jimi, as he took more control of the recording process.

Among the songs on Electric Ladyland are "Crosstown Traffic," "Voodoo Chile," and a cover of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower."

Special guests on the album include Jefferson Airplane bassist Jack Casady, Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones, Al Kooper and Traffic's Dave Mason, Steve Winwood and Chris Wood.
