Original KISS drummer Peter Criss was in Fresno, California on Saturday for an event at Bentley's Drum Shop. While there, he gave a lesson to a 10-year-old fan in cat makeup.


Mickey Hart has commented on the death of Stan Lee, saying, “The Grateful Dead enjoyed a relationship with Marvel over the years thanks in part to Jerry Garcia’s love of comic books. In 1995 we did a series of their characters for our passes. May the four winds blow Stan safely home.”

Gene Simmons has paid tribute to the late Stan Lee, saying, “Thank you for making my childhood so much more exciting with your astonishing superhero characters. Thank you for inspiring me to think and dream big. Thank you for the Hulk, Thor, Fantastic Four and many others. You will be sadly missed. RIP.”

A 59-year-old man identified as Erhan G. was charged today (Monday) in Berlin on suspicion of trying to sell diaries and other items that once belonged to John Lennon. The material was stolen from Yoko Ono in 2006. One of the diaries contained Lennon’s last entry from December 8th, 1980, the day he was murdered in New York.

Former Heart guitarist Howard Leese, who now plays in Bad Company as well in Paul Rodgers’ solo band, lost his house in the Southern California wildfires.

Keith Richards has signed a worldwide deal to bring his solo recordings catalog to BMG.

Stephen Stills, Don Felder, Sammy Hagar, Billy Gibbons, Robby Krieger, Dave Navarro and others will take part in the third annual America Salutes You concert -- Guitar Legends for Heroes 2 -- on December 2nd at the Novo Theater in Los Angeles. Proceeds support veterans and first responders, with a focus on mental health.

Fleetwood Mac have had to reschedule concerts Saturday in Edmonton, Alberta and tonight (Monday) in Calgary, Alberta because Stevie Nicks is ill. The shows will be made up in April.

Bret Michaels canceled Sunday’s show in Greeneville, Tennessee due to “an incredibly large kidney stone and several small stones that are now in a position that have made him immobile.” The same thing happened to him in August. At the time he said, “I’ve got a high tolerance to pain, but kidney stones can bring you to your knees.”             

Joan Jett and Steve Winwood jammed with Michael J. Fox Saturday night at the actor's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson'sbenefit in New York. Joan and Michael co-starred in the '80s movie Light of Day.  

Warren Haynes joined Bob Weir and Wolf Brothers for their last three numbers at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York on Saturday.
