GOV'T MULE: Gets "Gone" for New Year

Gov't Mule welcomed in 2019 with an interesting mash-up at New York's Beacon Theatre.

As part of a set of songs about traveling, Warren Haynes and company did a cover of "Tuesday's Gone" by Lynyrd Skynyrd just before midnight on Monday, and with just a minute left before the new year, they broke into "Auld Lang Syne." Watch it happen on YouTube.

The rest of the band's traveling set featured covers they've never done before, such as Deep Purple’s “Highway Star,” The Rolling Stones’ “Silver Train,” The Black Crowes’ “Wiser Time” and Little Feat’s “Two Trains.”
