CSN, EAGLES, DOORS: A Doc Celebration

A documentary on L.A.'s Laurel Canyon music scene of the late '60s and '70s is in the works.

It's described as a celebration of the music of "Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt,T he Mamas and the Papas,Carole King,The Doors,Frank Zappa,James Taylor,Eagles and more. The film will be uniquely immersive and experiential, taking us back in time to a place where a rustic canyon in the heart of Los Angeles became a musical and cultural petri dish."

Though the filmmakers have gotten their hands on rare and newly unearthed footage and audio recordings, they're still looking for "film footage (home movies or professionally captured footage), photos, taped interviews and other audio recordings. We're specifically interested in materials that feature the mentioned artists, the canyon, Hollywood, the Sunset Strip and anything that evokes that time and place."
